ALL STAR REMIX SERIES

ASD014 revisits two of our previous releases. we've invited some of our favourite artists to rework their own visions, of Tigerskin's 'Response' and Pablo Bolivar's 'Other Vision' kicking off our new Absurd All Star Remix Series.

First up on 'Response' are Hamburg's kings of the 'Deep', Kollektiv Turmstrasse. Their trademark smooth as silk style and sounds are once again evident, as is their genial chord use. Creating a beautiful, depth defying tool. Next up on the same track is Berlin's Highgrade Records artist and Tresor Club resident Todd Bodine. Keeping the beats stripped, and funky, he lays them brilliantly under the powerful and emotive main synths to create a true gem.

For the first revision of 'Other Vision' the label welcome back Holger Zilske, this time recordings under his given name. Fresh from releases and remixes on Diynamic, BPitch Control and Dirtybird, the Berliner turns in a pitched down, stripped down work of art. Matching the crispness of the tech with the dreamy atmospheric synths, to perfection.

Next up see's the return of label mate Mollono.Bass. Still reeling from his stunning 'Pirates EP' that was Absurd013, they couldn't be more excited to hear this new remix. And he doesn't disappoint. Devastatingly groovy, the mix has the perfect blend of funk, drive and mystery. Its chillingly beautiful melody, and sax riff make it a sure fire hit. Rounding out the package is Digital Exclusive remix of 'Other Vision' from the on fire trio of Nils Penner, Chopstick & Johnjon. With their own Suol imprint making the most stunning of starts, these guys find themselves in high, and well earned demand. Here they treat us to a smooth, synth laden remix, topped brilliantly with a cheeky vocal sample.
