MARK HENNING >>

Mark Henning

London’s Mark-Henning has risen up as one of the international underground's true players - recording for a volley of acclaimed European labels by night and slaving as a corporate whore by day. But now Mark has freed himself from the 9 to 5 shackles and slog of the city to concentrate on his passion for music full time - ROCK N'ROLL!

Born in 1977 to English and German parents, he has spent most of his life in England, though has never forgotten his German techno roots and has recently relocated to Berlin. Inspired by a whole range of music (from Dan Bell to Dinosaur Jr. to Ed Rush & Optical), Mark-Henning's sound sits somewhere between house and techno, with a healthy dose of futuristic bleeps, funk, darkness, groove and deepness.

Mark has established himself as a player in the scene over the last couple of years, not just through his productions (on labels such as Cynosure, Trapez, Freude am Tanzen, Foundsound, Einmaleins, Frankie, Morris Audio, Safari Electronique, Mo’s Ferry, Milnor Modern), but also through his European-wide performances - mixing up his own clever style of deep, yet jackin' house and techno to get the dancefloor kicking up a sweat. His releases have found their way into the record boxes of the likes of Craig Richards, Brett Johnson, Akufen, Fumiya Tanaka, Ricardo Villalobos and Richie Hawtin to name just a few. Additionally his tracks have been included in compilations such as MANDY's latest Fabric mix and Magda's Minus mix - as well as acheiving airplay on BBC Radio 1's late night underground shows.

Balancing his heavy day job in London with his music wasn't easy, but the hard work over the past few years is beginning to pay off. Mark is now a sought-after producer and remixer in the underground scene and his DJing has taken him all over Europe - all whilst holding down a corporate job in London. Watch out for his debut album on Soma in the summer of 2008 plus more remixes and EPs.. stay tuned!

MONOROOM >>

Monoroom

It is less than two years since the debutsingle "Electroeleganz" was published on Livelarge Records (2005) and yet the record-companies and producers are lining up to snatch a remix from the guys or even sign a track on their label.
To be sure the big step into publicity Monoroom made the single "Memory Inc." and a massive Gui Boratto Remix, which played itself on playlists or charts of well-known DJs and advanced to a clubhit.
Successful remixes for big labels like Kling Klong Records (Diringer - Flake Escape) or Multicolor Records (Eyerer&Namito - Reel Thing) accrued and Monoroom jiggled into focus. Their credo is still the employment of keyboards, synths and a microphone. This and their own and memorable sound makes them to one of the most demanded liveacts in the country. Their sound is not a mosaic of different samples but convinces because of its rhythm and aesthetics. Thus they construe their own style as a mixture of all techno-genres.

REKLEINER >>

Rekleiner

(REMIXER) This project is something the boys have been working on for most of 4 years now. Starting purely as a production outfit the boys meandered casually through their few productions looking for a sound which they could explore as their own. Throughout the last 3 years they have been developing that sound and their dynamic back-2-back DJ sets. and today Audiofly (and AudioflyX) has a definitive sound easily recognisable as their own, and just starting to appear on the general underground radar. Geddes meanwhile over the last two years has built up one of London’s most established underground nights called ‘Mulletover’. Over the last two years Mulletover have been responsible for introducing Londoners to a different kind of clubbing, their events mainly take place in illegal warehouses across East London.

JENS BOND >>

Jens Bond

(REMIXER) Jens Bond is a master of finely balanced rhythms. In his percussion †tracks he brings beats to life like no other – every beat is in place, even the background sounds are carefully arranged to brings the track forward. He brings percussion to perfection. In his youth he was a †drummer and toured with several bands before he got sucked into the †melting-pot Berlin. The solid musical background formed his career as a DJ and Producer and helped him to stay on top of the competition in Germany’s capital City of electronic music. Jens Bond made himself a name as a DJ and producer in Berlin, where he is a resident at the infamous Watergate Club and on several dance floors all around Europe. His hand for the right sound at the right time plus his sixth sense for the right rhythm played their part in his success. His nose for crisp rhythm patterns and his faible for hypnotic melodies make in his own productions stand out. His various releases on Berlin’s most prolific labels as Pokerflat, Sender or Highgrade, not to mention on the English imprint Immigrant Records, speak for themselves. His tracks cum all over the floor with airy funk, without ever being all too functional. It’s no big surprise that Bond belongs to Highgrade core artists, he plays a major part in defining the label’s sound. But that is not all. His releases with Benno Blome (as Bond & Blome) or with Guido Schneider are very popular. His debut with Schneider on Pokerflat - "Oh my buffer" - from back in 2004 still fills the dance floors today. Bond is all but a flash in the pan, his releases are catchy and solid. He keeps us in suspense about his musical future, his mission is far from being accomplished.

Pure Science

Born in London on Nov 29th 1972, Phivos (Phoebos) was raised in a musical family and it quickly became apparent that the passion had been inherited.
